ELECTRICAL POWER
When electric current passes through a device, electrical energy is converted or change to other types of energy.
For example, electric current passes into a light bulb becomes light energy OR electric current passes through a motor becomes Kinetic energy.
The rate at which this energy is changed is called POWER.
Power is measured in Watts (W).
Power of a device is determined by the Current (I) flowing through it when there is potential difference (V) across it.
Example
If a 5 V hand phone charger has a current of 2A flowing through it, what will be the power of the hand phone charger ?
